Delaware

Initial filing plus ongoing requirement

Delaware treats homeschools as nonpublic schools and requires the responsible adult to register the school in the Nonpublic School Application.

Your State-to-Schedule Blueprint

What Is Required

Delaware treats homeschools as nonpublic schools and requires the responsible adult to register the school in the Nonpublic School Application. An active school must submit annual enrollment by September 30 and year-end attendance by July 31. The companion includes single-family/multi-family pathway selection, registration and portal checklists, enrollment and attendance reports, promotion/records pages, and saved submission receipts.

Tier 3 State Companion: Editable, parent-reviewable 36-week Curriculum Summary Draft with student and grade/year details, parent and instructor fields, four nine-week review/report dates, and subject-by-subject scope, sequence, objectives, resources, methods, and progress evidence. It also adds nonpublic-school registration, September 30 enrollment reporting, July 31 attendance reporting, and route records. Parent review and submission remain required.

What Is Not Required

The guide separates mandatory steps from optional best practices and will not add a filing simply because a planner template exists.

Your Next Steps

Review and correct every generated field, confirm the current official source and local/pathway instructions, sign where appropriate, and submit any required notice, plan, report, evaluation, or other form yourself. K–5 Blueprint does not file on the family's behalf or guarantee agency acceptance.
