What Is Required
Minnesota home education requires annual compulsory-instruction reporting to the resident superintendent by October 1, including learner identity, instructor information/qualification evidence, and planned nationally normed testing when applicable. Unaccredited homeschools generally arrange an annual nationally normed achievement test; state-recognized accreditation changes that requirement. The companion includes reporting, qualification, required-subject planning, testing agreement/reminder, attendance, immunization, and work records.
Tier 3 State Companion: Editable, parent-reviewable 36-week Curriculum Summary Draft with student and grade/year details, parent and instructor fields, four nine-week review/report dates, and subject-by-subject scope, sequence, objectives, resources, methods, and progress evidence. It also adds October 1 reporting, instructor qualification, required subjects, annual testing, and applicable exemption/accreditation fields. Parent review is required. Submit documents only when required for your confirmed state and pathway; keep retain-only items in your family records.
